Pre Game Bash Offers Plenty of Fun For Fans

December 17, 2002

Tampa, FL -- The Outback Bowl will kickoff the New Year with it's 17th game featuring a sellout crowd on hand to see Michigan vs Florida. But even before the game begins fans will be enjoying the Outback Bowl Pregame Bowl Bash and it may be hard to get them to leave in time for the game. That's right, beginning at 8:00 a.m. on January 1st thousands of fans will flock to the Tampa Bay Center parking lot along Himes Ave., across the street from Raymond James Stadium.

The party is a warm-up for fans prior to the game and is sponsored by Red Baron Frozen Pizza, The Tampa Tribune, French's Mustard, The U.S. Marine Corps and Thunder 103.5 FM Radio. Outback Bowl fans will be treated to two major displays... the U.S. Marine Corps featuring an obstacle course, pull-up challenge and displays, and the Red Baron Flight Club featuring interactive displays and pizza samples.

There will also be live band and appearances by the Michigan and Florida marching bands. Fans can also buy a pregame meal from the Johnsonville "Big Taste Grill," the worlds largest touring grill.

Then at 11:00 a.m. the Wolverines and Gators will square-off in the Outback Bowl in Raymond James Stadium. For more information call the Outback Bowl office at 813-874-2695.
