2003 Outback Bowl Sold Out

December 12, 2002

Tampa, FL -- The 2003 Outback Bowl featuring the 11th ranked University of Michigan and the No. 20 University of Florida is officially a sell-out. Outback Bowl officials say no more tickets are available for the New Year's Day bowl game. It is the third consecutive sellout for the bowl and the fourth in the past five years.

"The response to the Gators vs Wolverines matchup has been tremendous," notes Outback Bowl President/CEO Jim McVay. "We knew there were a lot of fans of both teams that would be interested in attending their first ever matchup."

The Outback Bowl can be heard locally on 620 WDAE "The Sports Animal." The sell-out also means that the game will be seen in the Tampa Bay area, as well as nationally, on ESPN TV at 11:00 A.M. on January 1, 2003.
