Penn State and Florida Players Visit Children's Hospital

December 27, 2010

Tampa, FL -- Players and coaches from the Penn State Nittany Lions and Florida Gators football teams in town for the Outback Bowl visited children at St Joseph’s Children’s Hospital of Tampa today to bring them a little cheer for the holidays.

Penn State players Rob Bolden, Curtis Drake, Nick Sukay, Andrew Szczerba, Eric Latimore and Christian Kuntz joined a host of Gator players including Ahmad Black, Trey Burton, Matt Elam, Cody Riggs Solomon Patton and many others. They went room-to-room distributing posters, pennants, hats, stickers, player collector’s cards and other items, and signed autographs for about 100 children throughout the hospital. "It was great to get off the football field and put a smile on someone's face,” Bolden said. “We were able to light up their world a little bit. It was great experience and I enjoyed myself."

The Outback Bowl will kick-off at 1:00 P.M. ET on January 1st in Raymond James Stadium. Tickets are available at www.Ticketmaster.com . Fans can follow the teams throughout the week with daily updates and photos on the Outback Bowl web site at http://www.outbackbowl.com
