ESPN Veteran Crew to work 2000 Outback Bowl

Tampa, FL -- The ESPN Saturday Prime-time crew of Ron Franklin, Mike Gottfried and Adrian Karsten will be calling the national telecast of The Outback Bowl on New Year's Day. The game, featuring Georgia and Purdue, will culminate the network's Bowl Week lineup.

Meanwhile, the Outback Bowl 2000 TV Special will be aired throughout the U.S. on ESPN on December 29th at 3:30 P.M.(ET) and again on Saturday, January 1 at 1:30 A.M. ET (or Dec. 31st at 10:30 P.M. on the west coast). The half-hour show is produced by the bowl and looks at the Georgia - Purdue match up while highlighting many Tampa Bay Area amenities. ESPN's Adrian Karsten hosts the show.

The Outback Bowl kicks-off the new millennium at 11:00 A.M. on New Year's Day. The game will be blacked-out locally in the Tampa Bay area, but can be heard locally on Newsradio 970 WFLA .
